TAM Startup Delay Fix - It appears that we have a fix for the startup delay on the TAM (note: this is not an "Official" Apple fix). PLEASE check out the Read Me file once you have downloaded the fix. To download the fix, click here.

Drive Setup 1.5.1 - (10/6/97) Released: June 9, 1998 Requires: Mac OS versions 7.6, 7.6.1, 8.0 or 8.1. If you are using a version of Mac OS prior to 7.6, it is not necessary to use Drive Setup 1.5 to update your hard disk drive. Note that Drive Setup 1.5 was tested with and is supported with U.S. English System 7.1.2 through U.S. English Mac OS 8.1.

Description: Drive Setup installs software (called a disk driver) that allows your computer to communicate with the hard disk. Use Drive Setup 1.5 to update your disk driver or to reinitialize a disk. Version 1.5 adds support for Power Macintosh G3 computers and fixes a bug where the write cache on some ATA drives was disabled following a restart. Please refer to the documentation included with with this software for complete details.

Instructions: This software consists of a self-mounting Disk Copy compressed image (.smi) file. Download this software to your hard drive and then double-click it to use it. You do not need Disk Copy to access .smi files. Back up your data before using Drive Setup! Download

Sun Remarketing Has TAM Service Parts - And you can order them online. Please note: these are service parts and as such, you will have to exchange your (defective?) part for the replacement and pay the exchange rate (you can also buy the part outright at the higher rate). All of our TAM's are currently under warranty, so carefully consider your options here (unless you simply want extra parts on hand or something like that).

LCD Screen Tester - If you suspect bad pixels on your TAM's active matrix display, download this great little utility to test your screen. Download

AudioTuneUp 2.0 (4/23/98) Requires: Mac OS 8.1 AudioTuneUp 2.0 fixes the following audio problems: On Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh feedback occurs when attempting to use some applications to record audio from the internal microphone. Download

Video Input Update 1.0.7 - (03/05/98) Requires: U.S. English Mac OS 8.1 or earlier. The 5500/6500 Video Input Update is a system extension that enhances system stability on Power Macintosh 5500, 6500, and Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh models when running video capture applications.
